Intermittent mandatory ventilation during anaesthesia using the Manley Servovent ventilator.
The lungs of 25 patients were ventilated with intermittent mandatory ventilation (IMV) during anaesthesia using the Manley Servovent Model MS. This ventilatory mode is especially suitable for prolonged operations in which there is no need for muscle relaxation. While incorporating the advantages of spontaneous and mechanical ventilation, it is superior to both in selected cases. The Manley Serv...
متن کاملBoc-AzAla-Ala-OMe
THE TITLE COMPOUND (SYSTEMATIC NAME tert-butyl 3-{[1-(methoxy-carbon-yl)eth-yl]amino-carbon-yl}-3-methyl-carbazate), C(11)H(21)N(3)O(5), is a precursor for the study of a new class of foldamer based on aza/α-dipeptide oligomerization [Abbas et al. (2009 ▶). Tetra-hedron Lett.50, 4158-4160]. The asymmetric unit consists of one mol-ecule in an extended conformation which is stabilized by inter-mo...
متن کاملOn the rearrangement of N-aryl-N-Boc-phosphoramidates to N-Boc-protected o-aminoarylphosphonates
Abstract Various arylamines were converted in two steps to N-Boc-N-arylphosphoramidates. LiTMP and LDA induced directed ortho-metalation at temperatures from -78 to 0 °C. The ensuing [1,3]-migration of the phosphorus atom with its substituents from the nitrogen to the ortho-carbanionic carbon atom gave N-Boc-protected o-aminoarylphosphonates. The nature of the substituent of 3-substituted pheny...
متن کاملApplying a BOC-PRN discriminator to Cosine phased BOC(fs,fc) Modulation
The extended BOC-PRN discriminator is shown to work efficiently for the new cosine phased binary-offset carrier BOC(f s ,f c) signals defined for global navigation satellite systems, where, n (=2f s /f c) is an arbitrary even integer. The new unambiguous code discriminator provides good multipath mitigation performance for medium delays.
